The new management of the apartment building I have lived in for the last thirty years has decided to close the whole place for renovations. All the residents must move out before September 30, 2016. As a low-income temp worker with no car, my living place options are limited, especially on short notice.
I have found a possible new place; it’s smaller, more expensive and not as conveniently located, but it’s available in the right timeframe. The catch is that there is a substantial deposit fee I don’t have the funds for.
